Most of the historic, civic, and industrial buildings in large cities of the CIS countries are covered with roofs, which, at present, need a general overhaul.
These flat roofs usually consist of three ruberoid layers on the wooden basis. Such the roof must be used for 10 - 20 years, then the sunbeams dry the material, and the cracks cover almost all the surface.
In due time, the slated roofs were very popular. The slate tile is collapsed because of two causes: the crack appearance and the fastening nail corrosion. Moreover, the wooden frame of roof, which is a basis for the roofing materials in this case, begins rotting in some lapse of time.
